Course Overview
NRSWA refreshment course covering legislation knowledge required to carry out highways reinstatement work in line with NRSWA.
Who should attend
The reassessments are for anyone that wishes to continue to work on the roads, and whose current qualifications are due to or have recently expired. The course is generally designed for those with streetworks experience.
Course outline
You will be refreshed in the units you currently hold, which could include one, some or all of the below.
- LA (01) – Location & avoidance of underground apparatus
- O1 (02) – Signing, lighting and guarding
- O2 (03) – Excavation in the highway
- O3 (04) – Reinstatement & compaction of backfill materials
- O4 (05) – Reinstatement of sub base & road in non bituminous materials
- O5 (06) – Reinstatement of cold-lay bituminous materials
- O6 (07) – Reinstatement of hot lay bituminous materials (subject to centre)
- O7 (08) – Reinstatement of concrete slabs (subject to centre)
- O8 (09) – Reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footway
At the end of the course:
After successful completion of the course you will be awarded a new certificate from the awarding body CABWI. Your refreshed qualification will then be registered on the Street Works Qualifications Register (SWQR), and you will receive a new SWQR ID card.
